From Tokyo to Kyoto: Students Look Back on Three Memorable Weeks in Japan

For three weeks, 12 students from the Wirtschaftsgymnasium Bad Mergentheim, accompanied by Principal Volker Stephan and Upper School Counselor Annette Breitenbach, immersed themselves in a completely different culture: As part of a study trip to Japan, co-funded by the European Union’s Erasmus+ program, they gathered numerous impressions and experiences. They shared these during a joint closing evening at the Hotel and Restaurant Bundschu in front of parents, teachers, and guests—combined with a graded presentation and a special program of activities. The evening was designed as a multi-course experience: Between courses of a Japanese-inspired three-course meal, the participants vividly recounted their journey through various cities in Japan. Their stops included Fuefuki, Kyoto, Osaka, Hiroshima, and Tokyo, among others.
