Talented young people have the opportunity to pursue an in-depth education in the second school year in what is known as the advanced level. This significantly improves their prospects in the business world. The focus is on obtaining the University of Applied Sciences entrance qualification for Baden-Württemberg or, with a 6-month internship, nationwide recognition. Admission to the advanced track (Kaufmännisches Berufskolleg II) is subject to specific guidelines that depend on relevant qualifications.
Upon passing the final exam and completing the supplementary program at Commercial Vocational College II, graduates are entitled to use the professional title “State-Certified Business Assistant.”

This degree enables you to:

1. Immediate entry into the workforce in middle management or as an employee in administration and business. This fulfills the requirement for compulsory vocational schooling.

a) in banking, industry, commerce, insurance, and other service sectors;
b) with local, state, and federal authorities (e.g., tax administration) in the mid-level civil service (civil service career path). In these cases, it is possible to shorten the duration of the apprenticeship. As a rule, the requirement to attend vocational school does not apply, since the apprentice will already be 18 years of age by the time the apprenticeship begins.

3. Admission to a WO, TO, or SO program in the 2nd or 1st academic year. These types of schools
lead to a subject-specific or general university entrance qualification.

4. Upon passing the final exam in BK II, students are awarded the Fachhochschulreife certificate, which qualifies them to study at a university of applied sciences in Baden-Württemberg. The Fachhochschulreife opens the door to a range of additional professional qualifications, such as studying at universities of applied sciences or entering the higher civil service at federal, state, and local government agencies.

5. Passing the Delta exam qualifies students for admission to universities in Baden-Württemberg. Furthermore, by passing an additional exam and signing an apprenticeship contract, students can attend dual universities in Baden-Württemberg.

6. Admission to the 1½-year preparatory program for technical teachers, provided that the applicant can demonstrate 2 years of professional experience in an office or administrative setting.
