Erasmus+ Schülerpraktikum

For the first time, our school offered students the opportunity to complete an internship during the summer break. This program was supported by a grant from the European Union’s Erasmus+ program. To participate, students were required to find an internship placement on their own.

Four students took on this challenge and eventually found an internship in Croatia. There, they completed a three-week internship at a vacation resort and took on a variety of tasks. They assisted the team with organizational tasks and setup, worked in the dining area and at the bar, and helped plan and prepare for a wedding. They also participated in the Poreč Dolphin Event—from preparation and setup to assisting the participants.

In addition to gaining valuable insights into the working world, there was also plenty of time on the weekends to get to know the country and its culture. By participating in daily work activities, the students also gained firsthand insight into the Croatian workplace. In the process, they were able to observe and reflect on similarities and differences in work processes, communication, and work culture compared to Germany. The four young people met many new people, further developed their personal and professional skills, and became increasingly independent.

They can look back on three eventful weeks full of new experiences and unforgettable moments.
