Business School – Everyday Hero/Heroine

Students from the Business School with their homeroom teacher, Ms. Ruf, and their "Everyday Heroes" certificates

Business students went without their cell phones during class and throughout the school day for four weeks. Every morning, the smartphones were collected and not returned until noon. Many students reported that this allowed them to concentrate better in class. In addition, students talked to one another more often during breaks. Overall, the project demonstrated that temporarily going without a cell phone can promote social interaction and improve focus. That’s why we, the KSM, awarded each successful participant a certificate titled “Everyday Hero.”
