The Vocational College – Modern Languages (Berufskolleg Fremdsprachen) is a full-time vocational school. It provides the theoretical and practical knowledge required for qualified commercial positions in business and administration. At the core of the program is intensive, practical instruction in English and French or Spanish over the course of two school years. The application-oriented integration of business administration and foreign languages meets the demands of the globalized economy. A selection process is conducted at the Vocational College – Modern Languages (Berufskolleg Fremdsprachen) only if, even after fully utilizing available resources and coordinating with neighboring schools regarding their capacity, it is not possible to admit all applicants who meet the requirements.
Admission is initially on a probationary basis. The class conference decides whether the student has successfully completed the probationary period based on the grades on the midyear report card.
Upon passing the final exam and completing the supplementary program at the Commercial Vocational College for Foreign Languages, graduates are entitled to use the professional title “State-Certified Business Assistant.”
