Many graduates of the Commercial Vocational School received awards from the Bad Mergentheim Commercial Association, the Commercial School, and the fabi corporate training network.   <\/p><p>In addition, we were able to secure the top spots in the Chamber of Industry and Commerce\u2019s district every year, which served as a reward for the work done at our vocational school and by our dedicated partner companies.<\/p><p>The teachers at the Bad Mergentheim Vocational School for Business are rising to the challenges posed by changes in the professional world. It combines the three professions of office clerk, office communications clerk, and office communications specialist into a single profession. The goal is to create an \u201cattractive, clearly structured, and modern program for various industries.\u201d The plan is to develop a training program that aims to foster \u201cholistic, process-oriented practical skills.\u201d   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Structure of the Training Program<\/strong> \u201c<br \/>\u201d The training takes place at the workplace and at the vocational school. The training program lasts three years. During the training, the workplace curriculum can be customized through elective qualifications; however, these will not be included in the school\u2019s framework curriculum. The vocational school offers identical areas of study for all trainees. High-performing students may complete an elective qualification they did not choose as an additional qualification.    <\/p>\n<p>The training regulations will consist of two parts: a basic regulation contains, among other things, information on the job profile and provides for a standard interim and final examination. It is not time-limited. In addition, there is a pilot regulation intended to test the extended final examination until July 31, 2020.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Training Content<\/strong><br \/>During their training, office management assistants acquire comprehensive skills for handling complex office and business processes. They organize, coordinate, and carry out office management tasks. In addition, they handle commercial tasks such as accounting and monitoring payments. They learn to use modern communication and accounting systems, manage procurement processes, and prepare and present key performance indicators. Another important area is communication and cooperation with external and internal partners in German and at least one foreign language. Office management specialists may also work in human resources or marketing.<br \/>The following mandatory qualifications are required for all trainees:     <\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Office processes: information management, information processing, office administrative procedures, and coordination and organizational tasks<\/li>\n<li>Business Processes: Customer Relationship Management, Order Processing and Follow-up, Procurement of Materials and External Services, Human Resources Tasks, Financial Management<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>You can find an overview of the <strong>learning areas<\/strong> (Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg curriculum) for the Office Management Assistant apprenticeship program here as a<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ks-mergentheim.de\/contao_files\/KSM\/_media\/Aktuell\/KBS%202015\/Uebersicht%20Lernfelder%20Bueromanagement.pdf\"><strong><br \/>download<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, there are integrative skills and competencies that are to be taught throughout the entire training program: These relate to the training company, work organization, as well as information, communication, and cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>To allow for company-specific differentiation, there are a total of ten elective qualifications, each lasting five months, from which the company selects two:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Order Management and Coordination<\/li>\n<li>Business Management and Oversight<\/li>\n<li>Business Processes in Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises<\/li>\n<li>Purchasing and Logistics<\/li>\n<li>Marketing and Sales<\/li>\n<li>Human Resources<\/li>\n<li>Assistance and Secretarial Services<\/li>\n<li>Public Relations and Event Management<\/li>\n<li>Administration and Law<\/li>\n<li>Public Finance<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Exam<\/strong> The exam is administered as a <strong>spread-out<\/strong> final exam.<\/p>\n<p>Part 1 of the final exam focuses on office processes and procurement.<\/p>\n<p>In Part 2 of the final exam, in addition to economics and social studies, customer relationship processes are specifically tested. The reform of the profession, effective August 1, 2002, aims to ensure that, throughout the entire training program, cross-functional qualifications are taught in conjunction with specialized qualifications. These include, among other things, skills in the use of information and telecommunications systems, foreign languages, and measures for quality assurance and innovation. <\/p>\n<p>The ideal profile is that of a customer-focused case worker who works in a team-oriented, process-oriented, and project-oriented manner, using the latest information, communication, and media technologies to develop solutions tailored to customer needs.<\/p>\n<p>Industrial business administrators support all business processes from a business management perspective, from the initial stages of order processing through to customer service after the order has been fulfilled.
